Microsoft to refocus on users, Internet
Article Abstract:
Microsoft has announced that it will implement a restructuring program that will eventually lead to the software giant concentrating on customer service and the Internet. The program will be designed to make the company more connected to its customers and not organized around technologies. The company is also negotiating the return of 44-year-old Brad Silverberg, one of the main developers of its Windows operating system, as part of its plans on focusing on the Internet market.

Microsoft, Justice Department sparring
Article Abstract:
The Justice Dept urges the Court of Appeals to either dismiss Microsoft Corp's request to suspend the ruling on its antitrust case or put off judgment until the Supreme Court decides if it will hear the case. The department believes that either of these moves is appropriate since Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson, who is hearing the software giant's suit, has not yet ruled on a similar petition.
