Onex reaps big profit on Loews sale

Onex Corp. and its U.S. partner Oaktree Capital Management LLC have signed a $2-billion deal to sell 2,200-screen Loews Cineplex Entertainment Corp. to a consortium of investment firms that consists of Bain Capital LLC, Carlyle Group LLC and Spectrum Equity Investors. Onex. Corp. has generated a huge amount of profit from this transaction.
