Pursuer PC Docs becomes the pursued

Legal and accountling software firm Solutions 6 Holdings Ltd of Sydney, Australia, has announced its bid to acquire PC Docs Group International Inc of Toronto, Ontario, for C$284 million. Under the proposal, PC Docs stockholders will receive 4.35 shares of Solutions 6 for each share held. The acquisition is key to the plan of Solution 6 to expand its operations into the North American software market. The company was once a potential acquisition of PC Docs Group International after PC Docs failed to buy out another software company Open Text Corp of Waterloo, Ontario.

Hummingbird lays off more than 100 staff
Article Abstract:
Hummingbird Communicatiomns Ltd of Toronto, Ontarip, has announced that it eliminated more than 100 positions in the second round of restructuring. The layoffs are part of its strategy to streamline operations and focus on core products to reduce botjh expenses and debts. The job cuts were mainly in the finance, human resource, information technology and marketing departments. The company now has about 1,400 workers.
