Presure builds for Coke to settle bias suit
Article Abstract:
Coca-Cola Co may be confronting a potential public relations debacle and a possible boycott of its products because of a racial bias suit filed by a number of former employees against the soft drink giant in 1999. A federal judge has sent the case for non-binding mediation, but legal experts believe that Coke's stand is being complicated by the possibility of the case being expanded to a class action suit involving roughly 2,000 existing and former workers.
