Sierra Club project seeks to save Lewis and Clark path
Article Abstract:
The largest, oldest, US grassroots environmental organization, the Sierra Club, has launched an ambitious five-year campaign to protect and restore millions of acres of wilderness along the route that explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark traveled through in the west from 1804-1806. The group identified 34 sites in eight states for attention in launching the multimillion-dollar plan. New laws and regulations will be needed to accomplish much of what the Sierra Club has outlined in its campaign.

Nordstrom undergoes store, corporate face lift
Article Abstract:
Seattle, WA-based Nordstrom recently moved its flagship store into a downtown Seattle landmark that the company used $100 million to restore and renovate. Snazzier restaurants, a uniformed doorman, a day spa and a shoe museum and a counter revolution in lipstick are some of the new amenities. A new 30-something management team is responsible for Nordstrom's new direction, which has caught the attention of Wall Street.
