Starbucks auctions items surrendered by worker
Article Abstract:
Starbucks has auctioned off 31 automobiles, two houses and a 47-foot Bayliner boat to recover part of the $3.7 million stolen by Rosemary Heinen, during the nine months that she was the company's applications manager. Starbucks has sued Heinen, who allegedly submitted invoices by forging the signature of a supervisor for a firm called RAD Consulting. Other items seized from Heinen include Craftsman tools, several Steinway pianos and leather loveseats. Heinen's attorney said her client is suffering from obsessive-compulsive shopping disorder.
