Strategist offered partnership
Article Abstract:
Goldman Sachs, the last of the major investment banking partnership, has offered strategist Abby Joseph Cohen to become an exclusive partner. Goldman Sachs offered partnerships to 57 people, including Cohen, giving the company a total of 245 partners. The partnership offer finally makes Cohen, who went to work for Goldman Sachs after the 1990 collapse of her former employer, Drexel Burnham Lambert, a full-fledged, prominent figure on Wall Street. People outside Goldman Sachs regarded the offer as long overdue for Cohen, who was not offered a partnership the last time new partnerships were offered, which was in 1996.
