Telstra is proposing to install a system capable of delivering Internet protocol television (IPTV), which could deliver any digitized program on the television to the computer or TV. IPTV broadcasts can be downloaded or time-shifted, without waking up until early morning to catch up late night programs. The sale of Internet sporting rights, especially global events like the Olympics, is done on a restricted-regional basis.
