Koonunga Hill marches to majority
Article Abstract:
The 21st vintage of Penfolds Koonunga Hill red, which was introduced in 1978 as Koonunga Hill Claret 1976, is a remarkable wine. The previous vintages have aged extremely well, and the new 1996 wine should hold out to 2008 under good storage conditions. The blend usually has 15% to 40% cabernet sauvignon, with the remainder made up of shiraz.
