Trials and tribulations
Article Abstract:
War crime tribunals are part of the unresolved issues of post-war Iraq that Australia has to address. United States and Australia have ruled out the United Nations tribunals and the International Criminal Court, as it has planned a two level trial where the Iraqi jurists will try former officials of the regime for their past atrocities, which will help them in rebuilding their own legal system and the United States will try crimes committed against its troops in the recent war.
