Vivendi finalizes deal for USA Networks assets

New York, NY-based USA Networks Inc., which is led by chairman Barry Diller, will sell its entertainment assets to Paris, France-based Vivendi Universal for between $6.5 billion and $7 billion. The board of USA Networks, which owns the USA and Sci-Fi cable television channels, must approve the deal.
