Pharmacology and education in Canada: a personal perspective

Article Abstract:

Canadian universities offering pharmacology courses have reported an increase in the number of students in the filed, particularly in the graduate courses. These courses are typically taken by students as part of the training of dental, medical, nursing, veterinary, pharmacy and veterinary students. However, pharmacology as a field is still burdened by the lack of awareness that pharmacology is a distinct discipline that can offer wide opportunities for research and application.
