Democracy without nations?
Article Abstract:
The principle behind democracy evolves around the principle of consent where an individual's will is recognized and upheld by the governing entities. This is the principle behind the electoral process which some regimes do not adopt. Democracy's relationship with the nation is viewed in the context of coexistence where the nation provides concrete manifestations of the ideology based on the people's will. The modern times have shifted the focus on democracy to legitimacy that applies to all individual and society's actions.

On modern individualism
Article Abstract:
Literature is the media used by modern humanity to record its life. Pervasive in modern literature is the idea of the individual who is free from false human relationships, the illusory character of love and the ludicrousness of language. In its emphasis on the individual, modern literature becomes the instrument through which the 'state of nature' of classical philosophy takes form.
