Article Abstract:
The upsurge in international criminal activity is becoming the focus of US security concerns. Cooperation between these international criminal organizations has caused adverse affects on the world economy. US and international police organizations need to redefine their roles and operational policies to counteract this new threat. The defense of democratic institutions against the increasing power of international criminal organizations should be the immediate concern of security forces in the post Cold War era.
