Is there a need for an international lender of last resort?
Article Abstract:
A critique is presented regarding the role of the International Monetary Fund in the event of a global economic crisis. It is argued that the IMF lacks the qualifications of a lender of last resort in that it has neither unlimited fiscal resources nor the authority to enforce monetary directives, which suggests that its existence may be an indication that the market system is flawed.

Do we need a new Bretton Woods?
Article Abstract:
The Bretton Woods monetary system that controlled global finance between 1959 and 1971 is no longer relevant. Independent central banks with the primary goal of an economy without inflation are the most reasonable means for countries to retain their monetary sovereignty.

A new Bretton Woods or monetary competition?
Article Abstract:
Competition is the most feasible way to establish sound money. Competing national currencies are superior to a single world currency supervised by a central banking group, since good money drives bad money out in a competitive system.
