Must egalitarians choose between fairness and respect?

Egalitarians might wish to consider adopting a view of fairness as equal status established by the moral attributes of economic and social relations between people. This version of fairness would attempt to end exploitation and domination, assigning each person a right to share equally in the world's resources.

Authority and coercion
Article Abstract:
Conception of coercion is related to a widespread misunderstanding of the significance to political philosophy of choice and voluntary action. The author offers a Kantian approach to the question of use of force where the state's claim to authority is inseparable from the rationale for coercion.

What's the use of utility?

Moral reasoning applies practical reasoning to moral subject matter, so moral theory must not contradict the best theories of practical reasoning. However, the 2 variations of utilitarianism presented in this article fail this test, and cannot be regarded as moral.
