Article Abstract:
Wangari Maathai, the Kenyan Assistant Minister for Environment, Natural Resources and Wildlife, getting the Noble Peace Prize for the year 2004, created a situation of confusion amongst the mainstream media. However, in the era of concerns over security issues, awarding Maathai show how complex the links are between environaawment and security.
