Corruption in the Russian armed forces
Article Abstract:
The death of Russian journalist Dmitri Kholodov indicates the corruption inherent in the Russian political system. Kholodov exposed the malpractices followed by the Russian armed forces. He also criticized the government for its apathy toward the ordinary soldiers who are left at the mercy of corrupt senior officials. Kholodov's assassination by a bomb of a variety used by the armed forces suggests the political hands behind the murder.
