The new age of assassination
Article Abstract:
The current state of the norm against assassination, discussing the origins and decline of the norm and its impact on U.S. policy since the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, is explored. The need to draw clear distinction between state and non-state actors in devising a national policy on targeted killings is emphasized.

Assassination and preventive killing
Article Abstract:
Several principles of the military ethics for fighting terror, which are meant to govern acts of targeted pre-emptive or preventive killing, are explored. It is showed that those ethical principles do not sanction a strategy of assassination but do allow its use as a morally justified tactic under certain conditions.
