Three eventualities are discussed as globalization becomes a pressure for the modern state. Rejecting globalization and turning to nationalism, rejecting the state and forming alternative allegiances (e.g. corporate) or riding the wave of globalization are the alternatives raised.

The obsolescence of territory
Article Abstract:
War is the result of a strong national attachment to the fixed factors of production. As territory become less valuable economically than capital, labor and information, war becomes inefficient and unnecessary.
