Issues are discussed regarding the use of the Internet's bypassing of traditional censorship and existing legislation on libel or racism and its use by political extremists and hatemongers. Human rights and protest groups exemplify what is best about the Internet with their use of the medium to disseminate information, encourage activism and attempt to overcome prejudices.
