Associations between juvenile delinquency and weight-related variables: analyses from a national sample of high school students
Article Abstract:
Analyses from a national sample of high school students are used to examine the direct and conditional associations between juvenile delinquency and weight-related variables. Results indicate that in future risk and protective factors for unhealthy weight control behaviors and perceptions among delinquents must be examined as juvenile delinquents are more likely than nondelinquents to use fasting, vomiting and drugs to lose weight or to maintain weight.
