Can actions affect perceptual processing?
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that perceptual processing is affected by selection and performance of an action. Experiments were comprised of observations and comparisons of impairment from response tendency and sensitivity measure using subject-initiated keypresses, demonstrating that the subjects' impression is that they are unable to perceive something accurately and clearly if they are involved in performing an action.

Global dominance outside the focus of attention
Article Abstract:
The research discussed in this article examines the possibility of global dominance occurring outside human focus. Three experiments were conducted to determine the validity of previous research on this subject and to identify delays in identification, as a measurement of attention, of the target when interference is provided by an irrelevant compound stimulus.

A more complete task-set reconfiguration in random than in predictable task switch
Article Abstract:
Research presented concerns the impairment in performance when a subject switches from one activity to another, focusing on how this is measured in terms of a decrease in accuracy and an increase in reaction time. This study measures the switch cost when tasks are changed in a predictable and unpredictable sequence.
