Capital punishment views in China and the United States: A preliminary study among college students
Article Abstract:
The differences and similarities in attitudes of the college students from China and U.S. towards the death penalty and the reasons for the attitudes at the conceptual and empirical levels are examined. The analysis has revealed that the respondents' perspectives of deterrence, rehabilitation, retribution and incapacitation affect their attitudes toward the capital punishment in the U.S.

Attitudes about sanctioning elder abuse offenders among police chiefs, nursing home employees, and students
Article Abstract:
This article examines police chiefs', students', and nursing home employees' attitudes toward elder abuse. Findings indicate that there are significant attitudinal differences between groups and that police chiefs rated theft as the most serious type of elder-related crime while other participants rated physical abuse as the most serious type of crime.
