Services for persons with autism in Israel
Article Abstract:
Israel's diversity of cultures and ethnicities, including a 20% non-Jewish population, makes mental health policy and developmental education policy particularly challenging. A history of Israeli autism policy, and the influence of TEACCH principles (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children) since 1979, is provided.

Dealing with the reality of autism: a psychoeducational program in Milan, Italy
Article Abstract:
Psychoanalytic approaches still dominate Italian autism treatment. However, a Milan program is changing attitudes and updating practices, bringing programs closer to the TEACCH principles (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children).

Influence of the TEACCH program in Sweden
Article Abstract:
A 10-year collaboration by the Swedish national autism society and the Univ. of North Carolina's TEACCH program is described, focusing on professional training, development of adult programs, and establishment of permanent treatment programs in 24 counties.
