Cortisol response and ovarian hormones in juvenile and cycling female Cebus monkeys: Effect of stress and dexamethasone
Article Abstract:
Cortisol profiles are examined in relation to ovarian hormones and their response to a repeated composite stressor with and without dexamethasone suppression in juvenile and cycling female Cebus apella monkeys. The results have shown that hypercortisolism is not enough to disrupt ovarian development toward a normal cyclical function and that ovarian steroid do not have any influence on day-to-day circulating cortisol levels.

Noninvasive technique for the repeated sampling of salivary free cortisol in awake, unrestrained squirrel monkeys
Article Abstract:
The study describes a method for the repeated assessment of salivary free cortisol in awake, unrestrained squirrel monkeys based on a saliva sampling technique. The described sampling technique provides repeated measurement of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) activity in unrestrained, awake squirrel monkeys.

Saliva sampling to assess cortisol levels in unrestrained common marmosets and the effect of behavioral stress
Article Abstract:
A method for taking saliva samples from unrestrained, captive marmosets to assess levels of free cortisol is reported. Further different tests were conducted with the help of sweetened fruit-drink crystals and a number of other substances, but none of these attracted all of the marmosets.
