Long-term maintenance of weight loss: current status
Article Abstract:
Intervention strategies for promoting long-term weight loss are discussed. Longer treatment and greater emphasis on exercise result in a modest improvement in long-term weight loss in adults, while interventions in pre-adolescent children have greater long-term efficacy. Various suggested research priorities are listed.

Stage of change as a predictor of success in weight control in adult women
Article Abstract:
Research in four stages of change shows how each affects women's weight loss. Reduced weight was successively greater for Precontemplation, Contemplation, Preparation and Action stages.
