Movement substructures change as a function of practice in children and adults
Article Abstract:
An experiment documented changes in movement substructures as a function of practice in participants at six and 24 years of age. Subjects in the practice groups received 30 practice trails with 10 retention trials. Participants increased primary submovements as a function of practice, although the increases were much larger in the children than the adults, indicating that with practice, primary submovement is lengthened to end nearer the target, particularly in children.

Age differences in noise and variability of isometric force production
Article Abstract:
Research has suggested motor ability tends to improve due to increasingly appropriate mapping of the sensory-motor system to task constraints. Children and young adults were subjected to the same tasks during exposure to noise and reduction of system noise was not a factor in task performance.
