Outcome knowledge, regret, and omission bias
Article Abstract:
The subjects in the study made hypothetical decisions both before and after the outcome is known. Knowledge about the outcome and act against omission was manipulated. Case one showed that acts were considered better than omissions when the outcome is not known. Act against omission interacted with gain and loss in case two. Less risk was tolerated in case three when the potential for regret existed. Subjects were less tolerant to risk when outcome is known in case four.

Protected values and omission bias
Article Abstract:
The correlation between protected values (PVs) and omission values has been investigated. The results of three experiments showed that PVs have a particularly large bias against harmful acts that undermine the value in question as opposed to omission bias. There was also a tendency for PVs to be associated with lack of concern for the number of acts involved. In addition, some people will sacrifice values to prevent losses more than they will save these values for gains.

Omission bias, individual differences and normality
Article Abstract:
The results of two experiments that were conducted with one hundred twelve subjects in the age group of 20 to 70 and one hundred five subjects in the age group of 19 to 65 on World Wide Web (WWW) to find out the options they choose between two alternatives that involve threat to death have been provided. The procedures followed in these experiments have been discussed.
