Physical symptoms and illness attitudes in adolescents: an epidemiological study
Article Abstract:
Many adolescents experience somatic symptoms and associated distress related to health. Older girls report more physical symptoms than adolescent boys and younger girls. A study of 805 secondary school students shows that this gender difference is due to girls' experiencing painful periods, and not to age or menarche. There is positive correlation between symptoms, health concerns and the experiences of treatment. Some adolescents report symptoms throughout their life.

The prevalence of autistic spectrum disorders in adolescents with a history of specific language impairment (SLI)
Article Abstract:
The presence of autism spectrum disorders was examined in seventy-six 14-year olds with a confirmed history of specific language impairment (SLI). The results showed prevalence of autism spectrum disorders in young people with SLI was about 3.9%, which is 10% more than the general population, and in addition, a much larger number of young people with a history of SLI showed only some autism spectrum symptoms or showed them in a mild form.

Psycholinguistic markers for specific language impairment (SLI)
Article Abstract:
Research examines four potential psycholinguistic markers for specific language impairment in children, including a sentence repetition task, a third person singular task, a nonword repetition task, and a past tense task. Findings suggest that sentence repetition is the most useful for identifying language impairment.
