Practitioner review: the aftercare of adolescents with deliberate self-harm

Article Abstract:

An evaluation and treatment of adolescent suicide attempters are presented. The suicidal risk assessment aimed to identify factors present in the patient and environment that are responsible for the repetition of suicidal behavior. On the other hand, these factors are used to evaluate the effectiveness of care and treatment. The care and treatment methods must then include important elements needed for success.

Subclinical hallucinations and delusions in nonpsychotic adolescents

Article Abstract:

The prevalence and symptom correlates of subclinical hallucinations and delusions in a nonpsychotic population of adolescents was reported. Hallucinations and delusions were found correlated with self-reports of dissociative experiences, depressive symptoms, and odd thought processes. Subclinical delusions were shown to have strong correlation with schizotypal thought processes.
