Coping and anxiety in women recalled for additional diagnostic procedures following an abnormal screening mammogram
Article Abstract:
Women's concurrent and subsequent levels of emotional distress associated with a questionable mammogram screening are studied. The findings suggested that cognitive avoidance coping plays an important role in reducing anxiety in women recalled to clarify an initially ambitious screening procedure.

The impact of breast cancer on the lives of middle-aged women: Results from the Australian longitudinal study of women's health

A study is conducted which investigates the impact of breast cancer (BC) in middle-aged Australian women. The result suggests that breast cancer can severely affect a variety of domains, including health, social, mental, vocational, financial, and spousal intimacy.
