Schedules of monetary reinforcement in organizational behavior management: Latham and Huber (1992) revisited
Article Abstract:
Latham and Huber (1992) have reviewed various articles published in the 'Journal of Organizational Behavior Management' regarding schedules of incentive pay. They concluded that principles developed through basic research can be used in designing monetary reinforcement schedules that can elicit the desired effect from employees. Their view is untenable due to the absence of a significant relationship between basic research and the results of reinforcement schedules.

Variability is "the stuff" of behavior programs: a reply to Murphy
Article Abstract:
Murphy is correct in saying that the concept of client variability at program entry should not be ignored since this would result in a flaw in the performance pay system. However, he does not address the problem of behavior variability, which is normally seen in such programs. Successful programs must also assess and show decreased variability in performance over time.
