The assessment of self-insight in judgment policies
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to assess earlier research findings that people do not exercise good insight in making judgment policies. These findings are supported by empirical data involving indices of self-insight produced by subjects. The study tested the self-insight of accounting students by allowing them to select their own policies from a group of other students' policies. Results show that judgment behavior varied between representative and artificially created groups.

Probability models for duration: the data don't tell the whole story
Article Abstract:
Probability models of duration are analyzed using divorce data. The results of similar models were found to vary depending on the model specifications which include covariates, time dependence and unobserved heterogeneity or unknown factors. An analysis of results across models show that some models have greater covariate effects. The exact degree of individual-level time dependence also cannot be determined.
