The calibration issue: theoretical comments on Suantak, Bolger, and Ferrell (1996)
Article Abstract:
The combined error model correctly projects the observed symmetric hard-easy effect compared to the decision variable partition model proposed by Suantak, Bolger and Ferrell (1996). The model as applied by Suantak and his colleagues, is not an essential theory of confidence that projects calibration but only a model of the response process representing the responses taken for a specific sample. However, the combined error model integrates the two complications in the learning and processing of subjective probabilities, which are important aspects of any theory of confidence.

When the going gets tough, do the rough ask for help? Help seeking and power motivation in organizations
Article Abstract:
Help seeking was found to be more prevalent between equal-status that unequal-status individuals. Laboratory and field studies showed that males demand more help in collective than individualistic organizational models, while females do not manifest the trend. Moreover, the results of the study clearly shows the psychological mechanisms beneath help seeking behaviors and the practical implications for creating steps to promote help seeking in organization.
