The emergence of postculturalism
Article Abstract:
The article of Diana Baumrind delved on the recovery of moral criteria in assessing the moral worth of cultural theories and criticized the neo-Kantian ethics. She failed to strongly argue for an alternative moral theory and instead took the central position between post-Kantian approaches and cultural relativism. She presented critiques on social practice through the employment of the neo-Marxist standpoint theory. Her position on postculturalism contributed to the field of developmental research.

Narratives in cultural socialization
Article Abstract:
The author believes that the study of the storytelling structure used by isolated deaf children in a study by Sarah B. Van Deusen-Phillips, Susan Goldin-Meadow and Peggy J. Miller may raise more questions than it answers. It particularly raises the question of nature versus nurture as an aspect of language acquisition.
