Article Abstract:
Companies such as Microsoft, Sony, and The Knoll Group have used consumer research to help them design better products as well as invent new ones. Microsoft's research led to the Microsoft mouse and the Natural Keyboard, which have been breakthrough products, Sony is building new phones which will be more comfortable in the ear, and less likely to fall if struck. The Knoll group's office furniture is built around consumer preferences for openings and usefulness in a computer age.

Article Abstract:
Michal Fronek and Jan Nemecek established the Prague-based Olgoj Chorchoj industrial design studio in 1990.
