Is six the fix
Article Abstract:
Adobe PageMaker 6.0 DTP software has finally fixed many of the print problems that has made PageMaker a much-maligned application among service bureaus. The four main areas where PageMaker version 6.0 has made improvements include printing graphics, font downloading, EPS graphics, EPS colors. One of the more important improvements to service bureaus is the ability to suppress individual graphics, which PageMaker was previously unable to do; QuarkXPress is capable of single graphic suppression. In version 5.0, downloading fonts was a complicated hassle, but the new version targets output devices with a font query to make things run more smoothly. Improved handling of EPS graphics and colors are also present in the new 6.0 version.

Microsoft announced that it is developing object linking and embedding, which will enable users with Windows applications to easily access an application from within another application.
