1996: a new chapter for auctions
Article Abstract:
Property auctioneers are hoping that 1996 will be a vast improvement on 1995, in terms of the quality of property sold and the cash that it raises during auction. The decline in the value and number of lots on offer amounted to 28% reduction in revenue, although a more promising future is anticipated as some auction houses have reduced or banned the poor quality sales which will in turn stimulate demand. More properties are expected to be on sale because vendors are becoming used to the reduced price expectation.

A feel for the job?
Article Abstract:
Sexual harassment at work is a serious issue and can have long-lasting implications for both perpetrator and victim. In the male-dominated property industry it seems that many are unsure where acceptable behaviour ends and sexual harassment begins. However, as more women professionals enter the industry, men are becoming increasingly aware of the definition of bad behaviour as more women begin to speak out about what they find acceptable.
