Abbey joins High Street sell-off
Article Abstract:
National and Provincial Building Society will see 140 of its branches sold off by Abbey National. The two concerns will together have 870 branches after the sale of the properties, which are mainly in the south east and the Midlands. This move is among a number of sales of High Street properties recently, but retail experts report that the volume of property becoming available is largely in line with demand.
