City squares up to mayor
Article Abstract:
Many observers support the introduction of a Lord Mayor of London, England, but they mostly admit to have not yet decided on their personal preference of candidate. Local property agents suggest the newly appointed Lord Mayor will not deal with each planning application but will be much more involved in the transport policy in the city. Although some agents are concerned how the mayor will view the construction of very high or large buildings. The election for the new mayor is due to take place in the year 2000.
