Groundwork prepared for reuse of derelict land
Article Abstract:
The Groundwork Trust has launched a plan to establish areas of countryside in urban surroundings. These could include wildflower meadows, woodlands and heaths. It hopes to receive 50 million pounds sterling from the Millennium fund, with a further 100 million pounds sterling coming from industry, private investors and government. It is initially looking at 66 sites.
