Town Centre Securities (TCS) Chairman Edward Ziff hopes to use funds gained from the sale of under performing shops to pay for expansion into retail warehouses. TCS has around 30 million pounds sterling worth of outlets which are performing badly. TCS has a market value of 130 million pounds sterling and a portfolio worth 267 million pound sterling. Its most successful property acquisition is the 56 million pounds sterling Merrion Centre, Leeds, England. Ziff plans to own high quality shops in medium sized towns. Although Ziff is aged 71 years he remains in control of the business.

Grantchester takes the Edge
Article Abstract:
Edge Properties, which focuses on retail warehouses, is being purchased by Grantchester, also a retail warehouse specialist, for 128 million pounds sterling. Analysts believe that Grantchester is paying a fair price. This company will receive seven retail warehouse parks worth 176 million pounds sterling from Edge, bringing its holdings to a total of 258 million pounds sterling. Following the deal, Grantchester will have 204,380 sq mt of space.
