Park life
Article Abstract:
There is a growing market for secondhand business park buildings in the UK. However, such buildings often have to be upgraded in order to meet current information technology requirements. Secondhand business park space can prove very cost-effective, although rents can vary greatly from building to building. Many companies are now considering secondhand space as new office blocks become harder to find, although it generally takes longer to let secondhand space than new, speculatively built space.

Landlords' delight
Article Abstract:
The market for office space on the outskirts of the City of London, England, is improving but speculative building projects are not being planned for the near future. The area around the City is popular with smaller companies which service the larger corporate companies in the City. Rental values have reached between 15-22 pounds sterling per sq ft compared to rents of around 45 pounds sterling per sq ft, for the City. Some warehouses may be refurbished to provide extra office space.
