Mopping up the overspill
Article Abstract:
Areas on the outskirts of Thurrock could benefit as land in the town itself becomes more scarce and expensive. Such areas include Tilbury, where availability includes two sites of 1.4 ha and 1.6 ha, and Grays. Some observers believe that Tilbury's infrastructure, especially its port, will make it very attractive to potential occupiers. Forth Ports, which now owns the Port of Tilbury and its estate, plans to include property in the overall business plan for Tilbury.

Doubtful prognosis for bypass
Article Abstract:
The town of Cheshire, situated in north-east Cheshire, is generally prosperous, although it suffered during the recession and 43% of its office stock still remains vacant. A lot of the vacant office space is in older 1960s and 1970s buildings, and this will restrict development over the next few years. The retail market has also been affected by the recession, but there are now fewer vacant retail properties.
