Poetic justice achieved at last
Article Abstract:
Demand for office space in Slough, Berkshire, England, has benefitted from a lack of supply in nearby Maidenhead and Windsor. Some new offices are being built, such as the Swan Hill Development's 8,800 sq ft building. The Bath Road has been the site of some speculative building. Some firms have put recently let buildings back onto the market due to changes within their organisations, such as Anite. The town centre has undergone renovation work costing some 15 million pounds sterling, with rents for retail premises achieving 110 pounds sterling per sq ft.

Controversy at the cattle market
Article Abstract:
Local agents predict some speculative office development is likely to go ahead in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England if rental values increase. Some smaller industrial units are planned for the Suffolk Business Park. Bury St Edmunds is not a popular location for distribution firms. The disused two acre cattle market site, in the town centre, has become the focus of shopping development plans. The local authorities seem to favour the site being turned into a leisure, hotel and retailing facility.
