Warner's wake-up call
Article Abstract:
Warner Estate Chmn Philip Warner believes that purchasing stakes in other property companies will play a valuable part in the company's strategy of entering the FTSE 350 in 2004. He expresses particular interest in Merivale Moore, in which Warner Estate increased its stake from 21% to 29.2% in late Apr 1999. He is willing to raise gearing from 60% to 80% or even more, permitting him to invest around 100 million pounds sterling in properties and acquisitions.
