New links in the chain
Article Abstract:
There is little speculative building work going on in the Blackburn area despite the fact that motorway developments on the M65 motorway will be of enormous benefit to businesses. The M65 extension will link Blackburn to Preston and the M6 motorway in Dec. 1997, making Blackburn much more accessible. Land is currently priced at between 148,258 and 172,968 pounds sterling per hectare, but will become cheaper if the current lack of interest continues.

Keeping the market moving
Article Abstract:
The Department of Transport has approved plans to improve a section of the A453 near Nottingham, however, plans are still subject to statutory procedures and financing. The plans involve the widening of 3.6 miles of the A453, which links Nottingham to the M1. The improvements will boost the role of Junction 24 of the M1, which links the A42, A6, M1 and later the A50. An overview of recent development activity in the area is included.
