Role for minor players
Article Abstract:
Local agents in Tamworth, Staffordshire, suggest the region is popular with industrial and distribution occupiers because of its central location within the United Kingdom. The needs of smaller occupiers have not be satisfactorily fulfilled as much of the land is being developed for larger concerns. The retail market is thriving, with the Ankerside Shopping Centre letting outlets in its phase two. The expansion in housing occupation, in Tamworth, has created a larger market for retail goods. Some 65% of the Tame Park development is already let to medium sized occupiers.
