A manifesto for moral and spiritual problems
Article Abstract:
The UK faces deep-rooted spiritual and moral problems, and it cannot be expected that these will be resolved by the government alone. It is necessary for society as a whole to protect and respect human life, and for this reason abortion and euthanasia must be regarded as unacceptable. Efforts must be made to address the social, economic and cultural difficulties which can lead to the collapse of family life. There are some ways in which the government can assist in this area, but individuals must also be responsible for their actions.

The high cost of keeping inflation in check
Article Abstract:
The UK government has over recent years attempted to tighten monetary and fiscal policy in order to ensure that GDP decelerates. However, the economy remains slow to react to policy changes. GDP has certainly decelerated, but inflation is beginning to rise again and unemployment was up in Jul 1995 for the first time in two years. The rise in unemployment may not be a cause for concern, as long as it is only temporary, especially as it helps to keep inflation under control.
